Berkeley Skirmish 2010

The Berkeley Skirmish will be held on the meadows just to the south of Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire.

Travelling by car

Here are a couple of tips to stop you becoming delayed in the narrow, if picturesque, streets of Berkeley village.

Parking is not at the castle's car park but in the field opposite the Castle Meadow, see the directions below.

  • Follow the yellow signs for Berkeley Skirmish, rather than the brown tourist signs for Berkeley Castle.
  • If you're using a Sat-Nav enter the postcode GL13 9QL, and approach from the south to avoid the village.
  • Exit the M5 at junction 14, take the B4509 exit signed to Dursley;
  • Turn left at the top of the slip road - B4509 (signs for Falfield/B4509/Berkeley/Sharpness/A38)
  • Shortly after turn right onto the A38
  • 1.3 miles later you'll be passing through a village called Stone
  • Turn left toward High St (signed Ham/Rockhampton/Hill)
  • Follow this lane for about 2.5 miles and are car park will be on the left
